The first step in creating an email message is to click on Create a New Message.
1. Assign a Name to your Message.
2. Enter the Subject of your Message.
3. Select the Message Type. You have four options.
- Newsletter - Create a custom newsletter using your copy or a combination of yours and our articles.
- Email - Send a text email with a link to a particular website page.
- Send a Page - Send a targeted message using a website page.
- Send an Article from my Website - Send an article from your own website to your clients.
Once you click Create Message you will enter the existing message queue. You can than edit your message or schedule it to send.
Once the message is created, it will be found in the View Existing Messages link on the Newsletter Quicklinks Page under Quicklinks. From here, you can edit a message or schedule it for delivery. We always suggest that you test a message before you release it to a larger distribution list. You can do this by clicking on the test list only and adding the test list email addresses. This is also how you would send an email to an individual or small group of clients. Once you are ready, click generate messages.
The system will now generate your messages and add them to the Message Queue. You can preview the messages by clicking on View Message Queue. If you click Preview, you can see each email that is ready for launch. If your message is ready to go, you would click Send Queued Messages, on the next page flag the box next to the name of the email and click send.
The email will then be released by our servers within 15-30 minutes or less.
To track the results of a send, simply click on Track Sent Messages on the Newsletter Page.
